Hey, I’m John Dalziel, better known as JD.
From hyping festival crowds to chatting one to one through your speakers, I’ve built a career on one thing: knowing how to connect.
Whether I’m hosting a breakfast show, introducing a headline act or voicing a campaign, I know how to hold attention, lift energy and land a message with clarity, confidence and a bit of character.
I’ve presented award winning radio shows, helped promote and launch business with engaging content, and fronted everything from arena gigs, sporting events and city light switch ons to corporate launches and Christmas parties.
I’m your man on the mic when it needs to sound good, feel right and make an impact.
I also deliver clean, conversational voiceovers for commercials, events, explainer videos and internal comms recorded quickly from my home studio or I can come to you.
I wear a few hats, but they’ve all got one thing in common: talking for a living and making it count.

My Story
I have been behind a mic since I was 13 years old, when I wandered up to a local radio station in Coventry, knocked on the door, and somehow talked my way onto the air. From that moment, I was hooked and I have never looked back.
Over the last 25 years, I have hosted award-winning radio shows, entertained crowds in packed out arenas, introduced some of the biggest names in music, DJ’d at events across the UK, and launched businesses designed to bring people together. Whether it is hyping a stadium, keeping a festival crowd buzzing, or connecting with listeners one on one through their speakers, I have always believed in the power of live moments to make lasting memories.
My work has taken me from local community events to high profile national broadcasts, from collaborating with household name brands and broadcasters to championing home grown talent. I am just as proud to be introducing a chart topper on stage as I am to be hosting a fundraiser for causes close to my heart.
When I am not on air or on stage, you will probably find me planning the next big project, mentoring the next generation of presenters, or flying out to work with international organisations and clients. Every day is different and that is exactly how I like it.
